Hultgren Accepting Fall Intern Applications
Washington, DC – U.S. Rep. Randy Hultgren (IL-14) is now accepting applications for fall semester internships in both his Washington, D.C. and Illinois offices. The position is unpaid and will run approximately from September to December, 2012. Applicants with Illinois ties arepreferred. Academic credit is often available.
Interns in the Washington office will be responsible for greeting visitors, answering phones, giving tours of the U.S. Capitol, and assisting staff with policy-related projects. Interns in the Geneva office may be asked to help with administrative functions, conduct casework on behalf of constituents and assist with special projects.
“This internship taught me how better multitask while working in a fast-paced environment,” said one former intern. “It also helped me learn how to network better and build relationships with a wide variety of people. Beprepared for awide variety of tasks every day. You never know what you will be doing.”
