Washington, DC — U.S. Representative Randy Hultgren (IL-14) has received the American Conservative Union Foundation’s (ACUF) 2016 Award for Conservative Achievement for his 2016 and lifetime voting records. The ACUF has rated Members of Congress and their commitment to conservative values for more than 46 years, by examining their voting records and to what extent they align with the values held by the ACUF. Congressman Hultgren received a score of 88 percent in 2016 and holds a lifetime average of 85.25 percent.
“The 2016 ACUF Award for Conservative Achievement is given to those Members of Congress who receive an 80% or above score in our annual ACU Ratings,” said Chairman Matt Schlapp. “We applaud Congressman Hultgren for his continued support of conservative values, and working to achieve commonsense conservative solutions for the people of Illinois.”
“Throughout my work in Congress I have been steadfast in my conservative values and principles, and I have found them to be effective guideposts when it comes to finding solutions that actually work for my constituents. I am deeply honored to accept this award from the American Conservative Union Foundation and will continue to stand up for the principles that have made our country the envy of the world,” said Rep. Hultgren.
